Thought I was home and dry, but these still elude me:-

(1)9a. Novelist showing firm character except at the end (7). I have C?L?T?? (Thought it might be COLETTE but can't see why).

(2)11a. Suffers, having no end of bother with bone (5). I have I?C?S (Think it might be INCUS but not sure about the word "suffers").

(3)3d. One who's become addicted to pot?(5). I have T???C

Some fresh ideas would be appreciated!

well incus is a bone in the ear so its probably correct
also to suffer is to incur and incur without the end of bother (r) is incus
colette = co (firm) character (letter) without its end (er)
3d could be TOPIC if you take (to pot) and the c and i from addicted. Or maybe TOXIC.
could also be tronc which is apparently a pot which tips (for waiters etc) go in.  but cant justify any further
9 A must be Collette ...Firm character...Co (company or firm)
and let at the end . Except...to let or hinder.
