What are your "This Means Christmas" food treats?

These days we can (more or less) buy what we want at any time of year, but a few things are still special to my festive season ...

... pigs in blankets, sprouts on a stalk, roast chestnuts ...

... stollen, shortbread, tangerines ...

... turkish delight ...

... port, madeira ...

mmmm hungry now ☺

Mince pies with icing on !
Pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce, mince pies, quality street...
Question Author
Yep - I like the odd date or two ... and as many iced mince pies as I can find
I had Satsumas from Tesco yesterday and they were delicious, best time of the year for them.

Question Author
Tangerines, satsumas, clementines .... all nice - but which is which?
It is, wolf, Clementines are not the same. Smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches for breakfast too.

Bucks Fizz with that, pixie?
Not for me,Dave. Don't like champagne... but for the others. Except they leave out the Orange juice :-)
And the kids eat sweets from about 4am. Well, so do I, tbh.
I think it's a shame to eat the sprouts from the stalk.....I stand it in a stout vase and wind little lights around the stalk.....and pin baubles to the sprouts......☺
Nothing really.
It's a shame to eat sprouts at all- but it is the law at Christmas. My mum says.
My personal indulgences are lots of continental picky bits, stuffed olives and peppers, nice cooked meats and cheeses etc - oh and pre mixed Tailcocks.

Hic!!
Cold turkey, ham and homemade coleslaw. And Bailey's in the evening. I have no shame :-)
Chocolate truffles, stuffing (i buy loads of different ones) prawn nibbles!
Nuts!
Pixie - I bought some Bailey's nuts from the German market. They are seriously lush...
Oooh... Will have to have a look. Thanks x
It's just like eating crunchy Bailey's :-)
