Hi Emperor. I don't know much about dying, although have had a few attempts at tie-dying many years ago, & then I think I used a Brand-name as a fixative. I'm not sure how 'colour related' the word mordant is. I'll see if I can dig up anything.

Well its definitely related to the previous question. Sadly when messing about like this, one tends to grasp at any straw. However this is strong!

"MORDANT" is often described as inorganic oxide ( when its not urine!) so I think we're there between us.??
