There are centres set up for the peopIe of Cumbria who are suffering from the fIoods where donations can be made - however their pets aIso need suppIies. We are attending a big dog show this weekend at the NEC and exhibitors are very generousIy making donations of pet food, bedding, etc and the trade stands are supporting us too. We are co-ordinating the deIivery to Cumbria and have severaI van Ioads going up. If any of my AB dog showing friends are coming to IKA and wish to donate we are storing it in HaII 17 near the Organisers Suite (first door on the right).

Human or pet, I don't really see why charities seem to be needed. We pay a huge amount of tax into the coffers, why isn't sufficient released immediately to cover the short term needs instead of charities collecting it in order to do the same thing ?
Perhaps, OG your way, however immediate, would take longer.....folk need the stuff Lankeela has mentioned now...today......and well done to people who are meeting that need in this way......x
Yes, I agree with gness, well done........
But why would it take longer for authorities than charities. There's no excuse.
Not going to LKA this year and I have moved from Cumbria to Shropshire but I applaud your actions Lankeela. I have many friends who have homes and businesses wiped out again due to the floods. It is so difficult to rent property if you have pets, it can be a real problem so they need all the help they can get. Have a good time at the weekend

Thanks thugs, see you at Crufts if not before?
Yup, I'm not showing at Crufts as the older boy isn't old enough for veteran yet and the young boy doesn't have the temperament for a show dog. I will be there on Thursday on the Discover Dogs mastiff stand. Much easier now we've moved to Shropshire. Hope it goes well today Lankeela
