Common TOAD Flax

hedera HELIX aspersa

marbled WHITE campion
hedera helix (snail) helix aspersa
Salad..... Moth is BURNET. No such creature as a cabbage moth
I Have in my Dictionary under insects one called a CABBAGE MOTH
Have just Googled Cabbage Moth and it certainly shows up there
ok- give you that- but I prefer Salad Burnet to Salad Cabbage! Salad Burnet (Poterium sanguisorba) is a genuine UK plant- I think Salad Cabbage isnt!
I have Cabbage Moth in my Dictionary too....but I also have Salad Burnet which is a type of salad leaf.
Mancunian must decide!!
and the Burnet Moth comes in five and six spot varieties
and Salad Burnet is a native plant- classed as a herb- well, native in that it has been in the UK some 2000 years- the young leaves ar egenerally picked and can be used in salad- hence its common name
