Am I reading too much into this question, or is it a double dive in? I can't find a reference to the name of Tonto's horse in the first Lone Ranger cinema film, I have "scouted " Google every which way. Initialy he did not have a horse of his own and rode two up  behind LR on Silver. Hi Ho

Thanks Chaps,

I will have to go with Scout, in the early novels Tonto had a horse named White Feller but not in the movies.

It would apear that the first cinema appearance of the lone ranger was in 1938 when tonto's horse was called 'white fellah'.  This was in a serialised film and during later episodes tono referred to his mount as 'paint horse'.  By the end of the serial the name scout was secured.  The first full length film appears to have been The Lone Ranger rides again in 1939 and the horse in this film was Scout.

I AM GOING TO GET THIS ONE WRONG.
