mozzie, A possible link could be WALKER(?)

Leicester City's home ground is Walker's Stadium

The "red flag act" required a person to walk in front of locomotives carrying a red flag.

Dr Evan Harris Walker wrote a book entitled "Ms. Einstein"

I've not yet got a link for "john smith" or "trafalgar"!

What about square?

Red Square

Trafalgar Square

Leicester Square

Smith Square (also in London)

and Einstein (E = mc2)

both great ideas thanks!!
mozzie, For what it's worth, I much prefer spangle111's answer!

mozzie  Further to the above and spangle111's inspired link of "square" to Einstein, there is a more mundane link using the Albert Einstein Square in Jerusalem!

Thanks crofter I couldn't think of another square linked with Einstein - I'll sleep tonight now!!
