Could anyone give me a clue to this one please? I have found gymnocercus but the question relates to a mammal similar to a hedgehog without spines. Gymnocercus is a fox! Any clue would be useful.

Thanks

Localgirl - your answer comes from the Sound of Music song -" Let`s start at the very beginning"  and go there to keep fit..

I got that result too at first, which is quite similar to the answer I now have.

I suggest you concentrate more on the hedgehog bit and less on the greek bit, as your fox discovery has got you a word to base your search on.

That's what I did anyway and now have a 7 letter word.
