Anything belonging to him would be called Alexanders
There are several umbeliferous plants that are called Alexanders
eg.
Smyrnium olusatrum (alexanders).
Smyrnium perfoliatum (Perfoliate Alexanders)
Zizia aurea (Golden Alexanders)
Zizia aptera (heart-leaved golden alexanders)

Sorry Gen2, I was working off a copy and hadn't updated it from the master sheet.

Any hint re 1971 would be gratefully received.  I remember being at school and paying my dinner money in decimal coinage on the change over day but can't think of anything else happening that year.  Of course it may have nothing to do with the year itself.
