Old programme about Bodyguards

Can anyone help me with this old programme query?
This programme was on the BBC ( i think ) in the early evening and was ostensibly about how to be a bodyguard. It was presented by an ex-army type and featured some ( not very convincing ) enactments of how to deal with various scenarios.
The scenarios always seemed to feature a female ambassador in a car getting ambushed in a variety of ways.
There was a genuine ex-SAS man with a mustache who looked extra hard who used to keep his assault rifle on the back seat of the car!
Anyone remember this?
