Everything is fattening jj. Life is a little boring with all this diet stuff....I've just had Rum and Raisin ice cream and I'm not really bothered :o)

It's home made ice cream jj. I soaked the raisins in rum for 48 hours before making it.....It's rather nice. BTW I hate popcorn, all those hard bits that get stuck in your teeth

nibble wanted some for himself, jj - so I had a bit (or two). Mum used to make milk fried bread when we were little, I'd forgotten that.

But how can anyone not like popcorn? I sometimes go into the cinema just to buy a bag of popcorn, even when I'm not going to see a movie.

I don't really know but I just don't like it. I go to the cinema with the kids and they keep pushing popcorn at me and they get upset if I don't eat it...so I have to have a little but it's a bit like sweet cardboard with the odd kernel here and there. When you come up to Leicestershire pop in and have some ice cream. I have about 10 different ones in the freezer

Any food can be fattening if you eat enough of it, but I'd guess the lightness of popcorn (as long as not smothered in something high calorie) would mean you could eat a fair volume and still not take in too much energy.
