Sighting for Iss is 9 04 pm for 5 mins W departing ESE

Approx 4 mins after at 9 09 pm if skies are clear you should see the Russian cargo ship heading for the station on same routine. It was seen yesterday.

There is a second sighting at 10 39pm for 2 mins with the cargo ship following at 10 44pm W departing SW.

Also don't forget the Lyrid Meteor Shower after midnight. Look North East.

...LYRID METEOR SHOWER: The annual Lyrid meteor shower peaks this weekend on the night of April 21-22 when Earth passes through a stream of debris from ancient Comet Thatcher. Usually the shower is mild (10-20 meteors per hour) but unmapped filaments of dust in the comet's tail sometimes trigger outbursts ten times stronger. This year's peak coincides with a new Moon.
Is the cargo ship a much smaller dot following the spacestation? If so, then my mother said she'd seen it last night.
Question Author
Yes and not so bright. It will follow at the exact time I have stated.
Question Author
It was about 3 mins behind the Station last night.
Thanks wendilla, she wasn't sure.
Thanks wendilla. I never tire of your kind posting but could do with nightly and early morning ones too. If that is not a heavy meteor shower then when is the heaviest one?
Thanks wendilla, I haven't seen any sightins this time around, the weather hasn't been too good here. I'm not sure but there is a Leonid ? meteor shower usually in June. I have seen that in Majorca in the early hours of the morning it was brilliant.
I'm sorry to say that something'll need to land in my garden if I'm to see anything of the meteor shower. Pouring with rain and totally clouded over here.
Appreciate all the info as usual though. :)
Skies only partially clear here in Leicestershire - but lets hope we can see the meteors soon!
Missed it again! What time tomorrow night for the ISS and Russian Cargo ship, please?
TIA
Sun Apr 22 at 9.43pm for 4 mins approaching West, departing SSE
No - disappointed that its very cloudy now looking in the North East direction - what a shame!
