For me:

The end of the universe.

An unknown colour.

Maybe they aren't impossible to imagine, maybe I just cant imagine these things?

ed is a real person and not just the latest attempt to pass the Turing test
I wish I could describe this unknown colour to you but unfortunately you have to experience it for yourself.

Awww Ann!! but can you accept that it is a possibility but maybe just in denial?

I lost my Mum just 3 years ago, she was the sweetest loving Mum to me, I accept I will never see her again, I dont have a problem with that, I accepted that at the funeral where I turned into an absolute mess.

ty og :))
no ratter, i do believe i will see them again :)
there aren't any unknown colours, they're all there on a spectrum, an infinite number really, but they're not all named, even on Dulux charts.

For instance, some languages don't even have separate words for blue and green, though you might think it was fairly obvious that grass is a different colour from the sky

Good Anne :)

I certainly wouldnt challenge your beliefs on this subject, Im still just wondering if you find the concept of not seeing your parents actually impossible or just undesirable?
lol, tonyav or Hartlepool, which my OH supports

I cant imagine not having family at all, either through choice or death. I cant imagine and hope I never have to be completely alone in the world
The end of the universe: I've just posted this elsewhere in response to another question. It's food for thought.

in truth, i cant imagine that when i die i will not see them :)im sure i will.

jno, no other colours that we see as recognisable as we see things today, that does not necessarily mean that one day another colour may be found through another means or is that impossible to imagine.

I once saw a programme that showed how another form of matter had been produced, it was not liquid, solid or gas, i think it involved a carrot, im not sure but it was a substance that was floating an a film of water. possibly now proven that it is actually one of the above, so strange things can happen.
I cant imagine an earth without wildlife. Or no life on other planets the same as us. Why should God only put human form on one planet. Somewhere out there I could have a doppleganger ( oh no !! )
I was 7 when mum died, and Dad died before i was born, been married 16 years. people should be grateful for time, they all die eventually, as will we. End of universe as Ratter says
Question Author
TheOtherHalf, surely these things are undesirable to imagine but not impossible, I can imagine these things quite easily, not a pretty sight but very imaginable I think.
Fatty sorting himself out and moving out....

Other than that how memories are stored
I find it impossible to imagine nothing. What would nothing be like?
What I mean is, why is there something (a universe) rather than nothing? If there wasnt a universe (which science tells us that there wasnt at one point) then what was the nothingness like from which something came?
God, I'm giving myself a headache again thinking about it...
Question Author
nailit, I agree that it is impossible imagine nothing, I image that at the end of the universes there is "nothing"

nailit, I think im getting your headache lol
