I think Q3 is Cat Deely - I'm having trouble with the others too.  Your answer given to Q144 is spelt wrong.

My answer to your previous question refers.  By the way you are not going to win this month if you submit the answers as above.

Thanks localgirl.  Further answers I can offer are 121 The Robe 122 Mozart 123 Rigsby 124 Kensit 125 Toynbee 126 Quinella 127 Lettuce 128 Hurricane 129 Lincoln 130 Heywood
You've got another one wrong!
Gladmac - Don't tell Stormin when they have got them wrong! If they are idiot enough to post long lists of answers then let them blithely think they have got the right answers even if they are wrong.

Good point, postal.  BTW the Alma quiz finishes last Monday in May if you're still interested. Regards, Gladmac

Is this just a double bluff gladmac, or has he really got one wrong? Stop playing games - if he's got one wrong, tell him which one, but don't tell him the answer, at least not until he asks for it.
Localgirl, if stormin's answer to Q144 is spelt wrong, then I've got it wrong as well.

I agree with postal, to blindly list the answers even if they are wrong is pointless. By all means ask for a clue ,or give one, in order open another avenue of research.

I can't see the answer to 144 listed here!!!
Well 144 could be spelt incorrectly but then again is it? I have found more than one spelling for this name this is just one of them. Question is, which one have Vic and Dave found?
Further to my last, I am currently sat with the Cambridge Biographical Encyclopaedia in front of me and the name in here is spelt `Tradescant'

What is the problem with 144? Look at the history of the Ashmolean Museum. Is Gladmac hinting at 132 being doubtful.

My answer to your previous question refers too, I only post here so people may look there too, just in case they miss it (Gladmac please)

No, I think 132 is right although there is also the word PHARMING.  The comparison I found on one web site was that `phishing is to pharming what a man with a rod is to a Russian trawler'.

Phishing targets a single victim whereas with pharming a group of victims can be picjked up with a single sweep.

I posted this on the query line which appeared to go ignored until Dave and Vic went on holiday and they decided to come clean having kept stum since the quiz started.  They accept that there are two answers and only dismissed the second one initially bwecause they had never heard of it.

Personally, I like all the answers above because they agree with mine.

Some people are being disingenuous.  I don't give a flying fig.  So here are some more answers for you to peruse or not as you wish!

1 Carcassonne  2 Griffin  3 Deeley 4 Tiger 5 Portillo 6 War of the worlds  7 Revised Version  8 Frantic  9 1978

10 Stamp  11 Gallacher  12 Lonsborough? 13 Goodhew  14 Wilson  15 Guscott  16 Pendleton 17 Baxter  18 Tactical Strike  19 Mariner  20 Nashville Teens

Oh dear Stormin! It seems that not only do you get the answers wrong you also put down the right answers to the wrong questions!

Still at least you made me smile.:-)

Interesting turn of phrase that you don't give a "flying fig". I still cannot see what you are trying to gain by giving away lots of answers. As has been said many times before you are going the right way to end the postal quizzes that many of us enjoy.

Could it be that Stormin is just one of our antagonists from last month trying a little reverse psychology.  Instead of trying to wean us off this site by explaining the virtues of not using it which they tried last month, albeit unsuccessfully; perhaps they are now working on the theory that we will get fed up with logging on only to find that someone has posted all the answers without anyone posting any questions.

If I am right then it is working because it has already become tiresome and I agree with your comments postalquiz.  However, this may also be part of the ploy.

Wrong answers, right answers in the wrong places and more importantly stormin, while we are so busy being disingenious, no one seems to "give a flying fig" about any of the questions that you posted in the first place.

I don't think so Del.  His last month's posting as below sums him up.

"I may or may not regret the posting of answers, but unfortunately while sites such as Answerbank actually exist there is nothing that either Quizmail or GBQ can do about it.  Heavens above,  I believe in freedom of speech and therefore I have no sympathy with either of the question setters.  As Lurcio would have said "Salute!" "
