Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Although I have not actually done this quiz I have been absolutely fascinated by the number of posts about the demented cricketer clue. I believe entries for this quiz closed on 31st Oct so is it possible for the compiler or someone who got the answer to put the rest of us out of our misery!

Crocketford or nine mile bar.

Blimey mamyalynne is that right? It certainly uses all the letters in "cricketer/rambler no food in" but looking in my atlas I can find Crocketford near Dumfries but no sign of "or nine mile bar". However I assume it is correct so thank you very much. Did you get it or did you subsequently find out the answer?

Put Crocketford nine mile bar into google maps amd you will see the full name

Thanks again Mamyalynne. I have found it by googling it but it is slightly misleading because "nine"and "mile" are joined to become "ninemile"so strictly speaking the number of letters should have stated (11,2,8,3) rather than (11,2,4,4,3). Not that I would have got it anyway as it does not appear in any of my maps or atlasses. Cheers. Max.
