Thanks mamyalynne and kayakamina, could not confirm the answers I had in mind, too much turkey, wine etc. etc.
Twain =old

T (tea) + Wain (wagon)

the wagon in the clue is wain with a t in front of it.
That should be - Twain = old couple
Thank you kayakamina - did not know of twain for old
Twain also sounds like train (wagon) if you have a lisp.
