Is 9across Osiery or Osiers? Also if 4 across is Cloddish other than it being lumpy what has gazpacho got to do with it as it is not a fish (i.e.cod) soup? Thanks for any help.

anagram of COLD DISH?
Isn't GAZPACHO cold soup?
gazpacho is coLd dish take the L out and place it in the word a little earlier making cLoddish
It would help if we knew the exact clue and known letters, but CLODDISH sounds right based on it being lumpy and gazpacho being a cold dish
The full clue Lumpy gazpacho perhaps left a little earlier

Sorry Guys. 9across is "Wickerwork covering for 'ocks and 'aunches?" O - I - R - (6)
4across is " Lumpy gazpacho perhaps left a little earlier (8)" - L - D - I - H . I think ubasses has got the reasoning right. I had not picked up that it was a soup served cold but that it was a vegetable soup. Still not sure whether it is Oziers or Oziery.
I have gone for osiery as hosiery would be the covering without the H and osiers is what you would use for wickerwork leaving me thinking osiery would be the wickerwork
Has to be osiery,,,,,,,,I think!!!! as in hosiery ,,,,covers Hocks and Haunches!!
