I've re-posted because I think I found an error!

18dn Cannot reveal where this team hides up (7); I have E_E___N. Feels like 'eleven' [team] should be in there?, but can't make it work. Maybe I have a wrong answer somewhere ?

24ac: Had spin doctor turned over books, worried (7)
I have R_T___D. Maybe ROTATED? But not quite sure why?

OT = books (old testament)
Not sure where ATE comes from - maybe means HAD
open spaces within buildings
Could be EVERTON (consecutive letters backwards)

Answering my own question ... just had a thought ... could 18dn be EVERTON (a football team) but still not sure. Maybe reads backwards? NOT or NO something?!
