12a: coca
12a = COCA (Cocoa minis O)
sumac
Sumac is a tree, but what is 23?
Camus is the author so presumably 23 is something to do with bacwards
Question Author
23 is 'upside down' and of course SUMAC is CAMUS upside down. I had been looking for a French author the right way up.

Thanks for your help
