Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

48d) Portray (6) DEd?CT. I thought depict, but I have insipid for 59a) Lacking taste, and the end letter of that creates a d in the third letter space of 48d). Could it be deduce?

Everyone reckons the Crossword compiler has made a mistake, they all reckon it's INSIPID and DEPICT. I wonder if they'll declare the crossword void?

Hi both I e-mailed the magazine about this earlier today but so far no response. I know that in the past, where there's been an error, the crossword has been declared void.
If I get a reply I'll post it on AB.

well deduct would fit in letterwise, but from what has been in the post here today
it looks like there is a mistake, BUT have NOW checked on their solution line and
they are saying 48d deduct and 59a insipid. I know I know its cheating but it was
really really getting to me. (wasn't cheap either )

Thank you, I know they do make the odd mistake!
I may put deduct as it at least fits.
I can only really see it being depict though.

It will more than likely be declared Void,
JMR27 normally takes about 24hours for a reply but they DO reply

Well, if they do declare it void, I hope they up the prize money to £1000 next week.

I may even be forced to buy two Daily Records. ;o)
