21a doyle schizoid as statesman? C?A?E?D?N clarendon would fit and previously=edward hyde =schiizoid-jekyll and but neither roddy nor conan wrote it!

I think Clarendon is right. Lord Clarendon was previously Edward Hyde and future father-in-law to King James II. Conan Doyle wrote a story called Dr. Jekyll and Mr Holmes (rather than Hyde) which I think ties up the connection.

There is something called "Dr, Jeckyll and Mr. Holmes" but I don't think Doyle wrote it. Even so, "Clarendon" looks right.
