I have a female and male cockatiel.  The female has been injured - not sure if by the male.  She was bleeding under her chest.  Should I separate them for a while.  They have been together since babys.  The bleeding has stopped, but when i tried to put them back in the cage he started attacking her..

It sounds like they need to be separated, although a Vet would be able to give you the professional advice you need.

Have you thought that perhaps the she's been nagging him & he wants a separation anyway - sorry that wasn't what you wanted to hear, but it could be true!

*delete the after perhaps!
the best place to post this question is on www.tailfeathersnetwork.com/community under the ********* section. but my guess is that if one is being attacked then seperate

they sensored co*katiel!!!! Come on AB thats a bit too strict

I've got a female 'teil that was rescued and tried to introduce her to a malet hat was bought afterwards. Unfortunately he's a bully and ripped her wing one night. After seperating them and her wing had healed, I tried again and actually saw him go for her, so they have been seperate since.

It's a shame really, because over Christmas she got all broody and laid 2 eggs!!

Please disregard 'malet hat' in the above post!

What I was meant 'male that'
