Hi, down to the last few and can see some words that will fit but not why:

20D Bags I'm moving into private rooms (6) d_n_m_ den(im)s?? how does that mean bags?
36D Covering up a sin, mostly, and running for union appointment (10) _n_e_o_i__
55A Two turns, one incomplete? That's true (6) __s_e_
48D What's loud is not (5) F_i_t Am thinking faint or feint?

Thanks!

thanks.

i'm now thinking gospel for 55A being an anagram of legs (two turns) and op. not sure where the op comes from though!
Hi, I agree gospel - go (a turn) + spel(l) (incomplete turn)
20d. bags can mean trousers, so denims would fit.
48d. faint - f (loud in music terms) + aint (is not)
36d]enveloping
