Can't crack 14a+33d and am not sure that 40a is BRASS. Any hints?

What are the clues? What letters do you already have?

Brass is slang for a hooker ; bedroom = br and prat = ass

14a combines with 7d and means Palet

33d combines with 1a to give Lepta

Brass is correct ....BR (bedroom) ASS (prat) = BRASS - Hooker

Thanks Kayakamina and Ulysses - no wonder I couldn't find a pleat anywhere. Bigphil - the Speccy crossword leaves several lights without clues.
Any of the fundis - is there another crossword comparable to the Speccy and available online? There's no postal service here in the Congo so I can't compete.
