I had 6 outdoor plants growing really well ,
full of fruit and then in a few days they were
brown and dying ,so is there a preventive ?
Also is potato blight the same disease and
is transmitted ? As one of the plot holders
has lost his potatoes to blight ? Tia

Pick off the affected leaves/fruit and treat with Bordeaux Mix available from good Garden stores. When mixed it is a blue liquid which you then spray the plants with!
Blight is the same on tom`s and pot`s and is caused by rain but not on tom`s in greenhouses. Pick off leaves as `Krustman` but do not put them on the compost heap as the disease will return next year. Burn them on a bonfire. My allotment pot`s had it but tom`s under glass are fine, just waiting for some sun to ripen them.
