Thanks for your generous reply.I have a problem accessing the site - must be my computer?? although I can get into other threads. I keep getting The website cannot display the page

Having said all that I am struggling to finish with 8 complete trees and 2 possibly 3 "debarked" ones but I have too many 6 or 7 other possibities i.e. cells with more than one letter.

Now sorted having deleted all my internet history and the shortcut on the desktop. Not that I am anywhere nearer finishing the crossword. Time for tea (supper or dinner perhaps if you live Southof the M60) and Midsomer Murders!

All sorted now - amazing what leaving it alone for a few hours does-couldn't see the wood for the trees!
