19across clue is PLANT TYPE and either of these would fit - buttercup or butterbur, what do you think?

Too many compilers doing this lately...

Myself, I'd use 'Buttercup', but please don't take that as gospel! :-)

thanks lie in king, I think I will use buttercup. In this crossword you can phone for answers, for a price of course, but I dont like to do that.
yep it costs �2.94 from a land line, and the answer come so quick,
its impossible to catch them, have only tried it once
and that was Daily Record, I gave up
�2.94?!?!

Yes its the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail that have set up these "help" lines. I would rather scour the internet or the AB for answers than give them a penny. Maybe I am being cynical but the week the phone lines started, the Saturday �500 crossword got that little bit more difficult........................
