All finished but not v. happy with 4d. Clue is: Divorced some time between Thursday and Tuesday. Answer seems to be 'unwed'. I can see that 'wed' may mean Wednesday, but where does 'UN' come from? Any help please? Also 2d. Clue is: Hamlet's rude man, a distant relative. Answer seems to be 'forefather'. Again. this may be a distant relative, but why a 'rude' man, either in 'hamlet' as a village, or Shakespeare's Hamlet?

4d. Thursday to Tuesday is Not(=un) Wednesday, ie unwed.
2d is neither, it's literary reference to Thomas Gray's "Elegy written in a Country Churchyard" in which the reasonably well known line "The rude forefathers of the hamlet sleep" features

Thanks SO much to both of you. Might never have worked out the 'unwed', & I obviously needed reminding of the Elegy.
