I am stuck on two clues in the current crossword of the Vintage Sports Car Club and wonder if some errors have crept in because one of the answers (17 down) a 5 letter word B?I?N has no clue set. There is a 16 down and a 19 down, but no mention of 17 down.

The first one I am stuck on is 13 across "No possible doubt about the car from Crewe" - I have S???O?.

The second one is 14 down "GI mixes with Arabs for safety" - I have ??R?A?S.

Any suggestions would be most welcome - even if it is "give up"!

14d Airbags - anag 'GI + Arabs'
Question Author
Many thanks to you both. I should not have tried to solve GI and Arabs as an anagram using my Sharp pocket dictionary but iit treats airbags as two words!

Given the "A" of Airbags, I now realise that 13 across is "SHADOW" so job done.
Again, many thanks.
