Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Good morning. Still struggling with the last few clues. Can you confirm/help, please. 7dn Though clumsy, it does hold the coop up (5 ltrs) i-e-t (inept?) 5dn Plans to stop in. Isn't going out (7ltrs) i-t-n-- (intends?) 17ac Try doggedly to be let into from the start (7ltrs) --r-t-h (scratch?) 21ac Loaded, is not stable in the water (7ltrs) r-l-i-g (rolling?) Still on a learning curve.......... Many thanks. Four Clubs.

another name for coop is pen, pen is inbetween the word it which forms the word inept- so you are correct :-)
Intends looks right, too :-)
Scratch is also correct ;-)
Not sure about the last one, so wait here for a cryptic expert. Like you, am also still learning :-)

21a If you are loaded (with money) you are "rolling in it".

17a I assume this has something to do with a dog scratching at something like a door if it wants to be let in.
