Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I assume it's RELEVANT, but I'm not that happy about German. Is it a misprint for Germane, is it a meaning of German I don't know, or have I got something else wrong? Thanks in advance

German can mean germane if it helps? This is from Chambers:

german
adj of the first degree, full (see brother, cousin); closely related); germane, relevant.

Thanks so much, Catron. My Chambers is the 1976 version, which doesn't have that expanded definition, just the family one. Time I dragged myself into the 21st century, I fear!

I haven't sussed the entire wordplay, but "to abscond" is "to levant". "Leaving more debts" is still loose"!

I assumed this: that "levant" was to abscond leaving debts, as in to welsh. The "more" was there in italics to indicate to do so again, i.e. to re-levant. As long as "german" can mean "germane", as Catron indicated the current Chambers suggests it can, I'm satisfied!
