Last Friday I had a Digi box installed costing 75.00 from a well known TV/Telephone/ Broadband Company.
The Guy was about 25/30 with a cockney accent and was OK at first when he arrived.
He was having problem and asked me did I know where the street/road connection box was located, which I didn't.
He left my house and on his return, said he had found it but didn't have the key, and would have to wait till his colleague to arrive.

He then said, ''I see you are a Man Utd fan'' (I had a M/U keyring on the table and a plaque on the wall). I said yes, born and bred in Manchester.

He said he was an Arsenal fan true to the end, which was fine with me.

When his mate arrived with the key and things were sorted, he went on to my pc, which I thought was part of the checking for the installation, and he turned around and said, I have put this on for you. It was the Arsenal F/C website.

I just said OK Ha Ha, but when it had sunk in later when he had left, I thought , what a cheek going on my PC, and my telephone was not working and have to wait till tomorrow to be fixed.

Do you think I should report him, or just let it go, as I don't want him to lose his job?

I'd let it go. It was cheeky but he probably thought he was doing a nice thing.
Welll looks like he done you over .

Nice one eh ?

Dont you know not to let strangers on your pc??

Try to be more careful and not as gullible next time .
You support Man U. lol

They should have charged more.
He was Cockney, 'nuff said, cheeky ******* the lot of 'em, not like us salt of the earth northerners!

Anyway- i'd let it go- it was a weird thing to do if nothing else but nothing worth getting the guy in trouble over, even if he is a cockney ;-)
Fake leg thats not nice
rattys not bad
just a bit wayward and he has sleepapnia and often doses off like this zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

poor mite
why are you stating that Southerners are untrustworthy, when its the northern scum of this country that are more widely known as pie eating, dripping drinking thieves, chavs, slags and pikeys?

And please, dont brag about being born in manchester, I certainly wouldnt, its a dump and full of jodakis

So all the kids killed by knife crime in London this year was a dream was it?
I thought you were ripped off over a digi box but you're on about knife crime now.

They really did do you over!

Legend.InBed. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzz
They filled you with date rape drugs too?

God they were thorough!
Don't really want to get involved in this, but if someone had done that to my computer I would not have laughed it off, there would have got a piece of my mind with a threat of reporting them.
The reason I am answering your post is so I can have a go at Johnny Rotten, there's a nice name.
Don't you dare have a go at Northeners.I was born and bred in Old Trafford itself and we are no more chavs, pikeys and slags than anywhere else. What we are is FRIENDLY, and I know this because of people who have come to visit from the South and can't understand why we chat to them even though we don't know them.We are not scum you horrible little man and if you are ever critical of us again you will get another tongue lashing.

Thanks for your backing missprim,

I was born and bred in Old Trafford as well, just behind the Gorse Hill Pub on Chester Road, but now living South East UK.

Its a pity that people above refer to us Northerners as pikeys etc, probably they have never been there to see how friendly we are?
dunno about pikey but gulllible mug seems to spring to mind letting someone strange on your pc.hope he wasnt a gary glitter fan you might get flagged by ceops.

dont let strangers on your pc its common sense

DID THIS HELP?

And by the way,
this Q was about a service from a company, not about where you live?
I think Jonny Rotten was referring to tongue in cheek comment made by Boo regarding us nowty southners which may have been taken a little too seriously.

As far as the north/south divide goes... I take great delight in setting up north/south divide threads in which a little joshing on both sides is always fun but fundamentally both have their not so nice areas and I don't find either northerners or southners more friendly than the other. It depends on the person.

That said.... gravy on chips? What were you thinking!

legend006 still about, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz
Too true. Who is this horrible Johnny Rotten? His comments on Big Brother were clearly racist and I would be happy to report him if he ever abusive again.
Hi chinadoll, what Johnny Rotten was saying wasn't a bit of fun it was just downright abusive.I agree that there are friendly people in the North and South but I don't think I would want him as one of my mates.
Gravy on chips? Delicious!
No, I quite agree. I think he may have taken Boo's comments too seriously. Plus not really red the question at all which seems to have gone on something of a divert.
Quite agree china doll Boo's comments were obviously tongue in cheek but Rotten has no sense of humour and he just went completely overboard.
Rtaxrun I know it went from one thing to another but just wanted to say I lived off Cornbrook St and went to Stretford Rd School if you know where I mean.
