1 across, Clue: I arrest you in the name of the law (11), I have: ?A?C?P??A?E. I can only see "catchphrase" but I don't know why.
Also, 22 down, Clue: Land of the living (5). I have: G?E?E

Help please.

Yes Vimto, because "I arrest you in the name of the law " is the PHRASE that you use when you CATCH someone.
I'm sure it is catchphrase .... i.e. to arrest somebody in the name of the law is to "catch" them, and the clue indicates the standard phrase used in such instances, therefore = catchphrase.
