Whenever I select my Internet home page the configured address www. bbc.co.uk comes up in the address page. However the homepage does not open and I have a message on the top bar "Internet cannot display this webpage"

The page just gives reasons why it cannot make the connection. If I then try press ENTER the website works normally. I can only work the Internet via the Enter button. Any clues as to how I can clear this ? Thanks for any suggestions ?

It's difficult to advise with limited information however, try selecting 'tools' in internet explorer and make sure that 'work offline' is not ticked - if it is ticked then click on 'work offline' to unselect it, close internet explorer and reopen it.

Reply if this doesn't work.

currob. Thanks very much for your answer, the only one which I received !! Yes, it worked. I am finding the new Tab system to be more trouble than it is worth probably because I do not use the computer all that much.
Great, glad to hear that. Yes, the tabs do take a bit of getting used to but microsoft seem to think we need them!! lol
