Im pretty worried for my dad. This morning my mum took him to hospital because he had a lot of blood coming out of his rear. He has been like this for over a year now but he is too stubborn to see a doctor, but this morning it was really bad, so they have done tests on him and told him that its his liver. But what exactly could it be?

Hello , I am sorry that your father is unwell , I hope he will be on the mend now he has finally got it seen to.
It would be best if you asked the ward staff for a talk with the doctor , who will be able to tell you , as a family , what is causing his illness. All the best to you and your dad .:-)

They dismissed him after the tests. He is now at home and told to go back in a couple of days for more tests :I
Wishing you. your family and mainly your dad all the best, and hoping that the hospital will find what is wrong with him and treat him accordingly.
hiya filthiestfis...well firstly your mum has done the right thing getting him to the dr. I think without being dr's and knowing the ins out and outs, ABers wouldn't be able to give you any specific information and someone may type wrong info thinking they're being helpful and it may worry you.

Do you know when he'll receive the test results?
Question Author
Im not sure when they will tell him whats up, possibly tuesday? I was asking the ABers as one of your loved ones may have gone through the same thing.
hello...I hope they do tell him tuesday, as that way you know. x
Hello again , hope you will know more once the test results are back and at his next appointment :-)

Thank you everyone. It could be a bad thing or it might be heamorrhoids? I hope its nothing too serious.
I haven't heard of bleeding as being linked with your liver but I'm not a doctor! He could have IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), which I have. This is either Ulcerative Colitis or Crohns disease. Both have rectal bleeding (bloody stools) as a side effect. It is good that he has finally gone to the hospital to get it sorted- let us know how he gets on.
