Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I found this one horrendous, & frankly, wouldn't be asking for my last answer now if I hadn't picked up lots of others from The Answerbank. So, sinking my pride, I'd be grateful, please, for a suggestion for 2dn. If orator fails, I can follow with more reason. (1,8) A ?O?T?O?I

As I have posted previously, I think this WAS more difficult than usual. I think sometimes the crossword editor likes to push the envelope.

I remember there was a deliberate attempt to make the times 2 crossword more difficult about 18 months ago, and there was a massive backlash. I think solvers at the time felt this was patronising. The fact being that they did the times2 crossword because it was doable in a tea-break etc. and they didn't need educating.

I also think It would help if the compiler was credited, then the solver would know what to expect.
