Hello!

I was wondering if any of you lovely people could help me please? I'd like to style my hair like this...
http://entimg.msn.com/i/300/celeb/AshleyOlsen_ 300x298.jpg but I'm a little confused as to which size curling tongs I should buy? Does anyone know?

I'll be very grateful to anyone who can help me. Thank you.

is your hair straight naturally? xXx

Hello posy~jo! Yes, it is. I'm a bit clueless. lol
Have you got ghds? If so, then you can make small flicks which you can exaggerate by using this :http://www.wantthelook.com/index.php?main_page =product_info&manufacturers_id=20&products_id= 1492

You just get your ghds wrap the hair round the outside and pull.

But like i said, if you want the fuller effect then that product is the one for ya ;o)

Ah, I realise my username may be slightly misleading. That's my nick name BECAUSE my hair is straight. lol

No, I don't have GHDs missyR, I don't really need them. Thank you for replying though.
when your hair is damp take it into about inch wide sections, twist it between your fingers until it's about to curl back on itself (as if you were going to put your hair in a bun) secure at the end of each one with a clip til you have done your whole head. then take half your head and tie securely at the bottom so u can remove the clips, do the same the other side and leave to dry. overnight is good. if your hair doesn't hold curls well then spray a fixing spray or similar on first. then when it's dry shake it loose with your fingers. hopefully this will work for you xXx and it's cheaper than buying tongs!! xXx
This also looks good : http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumb er/4427421.htm you have the full package. But Ashley Olsen's look would have been created using a product then loosely curling it. You can do it with a hairdryer and one of these brushes : http://www.prohaircare.co.uk/shop/T3_Tourmalin e-Brushes-83603-376.php
God i know i'm giving lot's of replies but here's another i've thought of : When your hair is damp get a handful of mousse and scruch your hair towards your head really tightly. Then use a diffuser :hairdryerhttp://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumb er/4427610.htm
scruch = scrunch

Ah, thank you~ lovely girls! I will try those suggestions definitely. But unfortunately I really need to try and do it before I go out this evening and was sort of planning on running into Argos on my way home later.

This one has a 25mm barrel, is that too big? I'm useless. lol. And do I need to tong it all, or will that make my hair too big? Should I just tong a few sections? Thanks again
No, i'd say that's fine. I would tong most of your hair and keep it on for about 25 seconds - if you want the looser look then slightly comb it out with a wide tooth comb then spray with hairspray.
Whatever you decide to do defo put hairspray on - it will all drop out otherwise.

Thank you again SO much!
Yes love,
You would buy the large bumber curler and the size would
depend on how wide you want your curl.
if you have no idea then just start with one that if you put your fingers (your thumb and you index finger )on either side of the body of the curler itself and slid them off without moving them you would have two inches between them(your thumb and index finger) that way you get a perfect look every time. heads up!

Thank you for your help once again girls! I managed to do it, just about, haha! I did burn myself a few times in the process and it didn't come out quite as I imagined it would, but hopefully I'll improve with practice. Thank you, c~s x
