Good Day to you, K - You're too fast for me!
Good afternoon crofter. I left out the 'b' (broadcaster initially) from my answer. I enjoyed the puzzle from Paul as it was cricket themed and very topical with a clue about Shane Warne. K

Good afternoon kayakamina and crofter, and many thanks for the answer, and the explanations, I'm enjoying the cricket theme as well. Let's hope that England can improve on their fielding tomorrow, especially that numpty Giles, and that Hoggard and Flintoff continue their good work with the ball.Off to watch some football and tennis now, back later.Regards G.
Note also that 26a refers to the number 14 (This will mean Clue 14). I expect that this 14 -clue has as its solution something like Oriental or a Spin-ball in cricket? In some cases it will help to quote the answer to the clue that is beimg referred to.
