Its that DEMON again,No98across, (down at heel) and No 109 across (hireling). I have checked all the other clues several times and they are all correct, the letters I have are 98 across (S.A.N.) AND nO 109 ACROSS (MI.I.B)anybody out there can help a clueless me, many thanks,MJW

Thank you very much johnalex, I recehecked my japanese answer and there is two words meaning the same thing and as luck has it the secon d answer fitted in with your helpful answers, to be honest I had thought of shabby myself, and menial, but once again thanks again,also for the name of another thesaurus which I will keep an eye out for, I have three different ones already so another won`t hurt.
