I am a regular reader of the Telegraph. Do any fellow crossword puzzlers who read alternative broadsheets know if their journal of choice will be running a jumbo crossword for the bank holiday and will it be published on Friday or Saturday? I don't anticipate the weather improving enough to be gardening/walking/picnicing this weekend and feel that I'm going to need lots of stimulation of the mental variety instead! Sometimes newspaper advertise the fact that they will have such puzzles. I used toi just have a quick shufti in WHSmith's but so often now the newspapers are sealed in plastic.

Many thanks in anticipation.

The Times all through the year has a Bank Holiday Crossword so will be one on Easter Monday, and the Bank Holidays in May and August then on Boxing Day.

thanks pega. Is good friday not a bank holiday too in England?

It isn't in scotland so I'm not too sure.

There was also a Jumbo in the Times last year on Good Friday
The Saturday Independent will also have a Jumbo crossword. Araucaria in The Saturday Guardian also does a special crossword -- sometimes a large one or a double grid type.
