Probably the toughest numeric we've had for a while, so thanks for the challenge, Zag!

Very difficult to get a foothold, but I liked the use of symmetry across the clues.

I have three clues yielding alternative answers for the same cut prime and grid entry, which is a shame (one question has four possibles). It would have been nice to make them all unique, even if we don't need to enter them. Apart from that, the cluing was impressively frugal.

Thanks to Zag for the puzzle (and to Zag and Oyler for providing lists of squares, primes, and triangular numbers with Crossnumber Quarterly.) And my basic scientific calculator which does factorisation is a handy thing.
Agree that it was a bit unfortunate about alternative answers to clues, but no dubiety about the grid.

Anyone relatively new to the Listener who wants a real numerical challenge from the archive might try puzzle 4256 Boxes by Radix, from 2013.
Very tough numerical. I was a late starter only looking at it briefly last night. Having spent several hours on it today, I can't say that I enjoyed it as such -- some of it was quite a slog, and I'm glad it's over and done with.

I have admiration for the setter though; quite a feat of construction. Many thanks, Zag.

perseverer, I remember 'Boxes' by Radix only too well -- it was the only numerical I've ever needed more than a calc to assist me!
Doable, but it kept me working till the last drop
Just limped over the line. As ever it pays to use as much logic as possible rather than slogging through lists but that said there was a fair bit of slog. Confess by the end I just went for the first answer that fitted the criteria, aware that there might be alternatives, and just hoped I didn't run into a brick wall. Respect for anyone who went the full distance.
Thanks Zag - hopefully has helped to push back the dementia by a wee while
