In Eastenders?

My partner behaves so similarly towards me, I was in tears watching. I believe he has the same metnal issues. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong with her so I can find further information or support for myself?

I say myself, because I do not believe I can help him, as he does not realise his mood swings and fire breathing are anything but normal.

I'm very serious. I have spent the last year and a half trying to work out what I have done wrong, tiptoeing around him, watching my words, living with fear, dread, sadness, nothing I do is right, but the rules change every day. Do too much or too little. Soprry to ramble but I need help on this one, if I have some clues, I can begin to see more clearly.

Its a little hard to diagnose from that, but it seems that this womans issues only started after her husband died. Maybe its some sort of post-traumatic psychosis or schizophrenia. Has something happened to your partner? If you can, see your doctor? A community psychiatric nurse could help evaluate the problem, and they are generally very nice and discreet. I have had experience with this when my gran who is an alcoholic saw one. Severe depression can also cause similar issues. I hope everything sorts out for you. xx

Well they did give a help line number at the end so maybe you could give them a call. Also perhaps you could get some literature from MIND which might help. It is very difficult if someone will not recognise that there is anything wrong though. Hope it works out for you, but do not give up your life for someone unless you really really want to.

I am not entirely sure but it happened after Stacey's dad died, she went downhill and has a drinking problem. Stacey left her so maybe you should do too. Life is too short to put up with partners like this.

Stacey's mum has bipolar disorder. Read here:

http://www.nimh.nih.gov/publicat/bipolar.cfm

if your partner has bipolar it is really important he gets help as it is very treatable and people can lead a normal life, it is only an illness. Unfortunately a family friend who suffered this didnt want to take his medication and felt there was no way out than to kill himself. He left behind lots of people who loved him andd i think there were around 300 people who attended his funeral. Lots of love and help needed xx

Hi.

It certainly sounds like he needs to see a doctor for proffessional help.

I had a similar situation with my ex. It's very difficult to be treating on egg shells all the time and knowing that even when it's good, it's going to be bad very soon.

he will have some form of depression and that won't go away by itself.

Goodluck.

So we have found out he can get help, you just need to persuade him to go to the doctor. That was obviously the tablets that Stacey was giving her mum.

Good luck jedi and hope he gets better soon.
