Simple but very satisfying

Tidy grid fill with some nice clues and then a mercifully brief wordsearch to the final answer

Thanks Nudd - time for the Rugby this weekend now

Yes, I think that sums it up perfectly. Thanks, Nudd.
Not particularly stretching, but it's a neat grid, with consistent clues and a poem I'd not encountered before. Thanks Nudd!

Time for the cricket this weekend now - oh, hang on...
Another where you felt like "just one more" before you put it down - and suddenly it was done. Nothing particularly taxing, but a nice way to spend an idle moment or two. Thanks, Nudd
Yes very nice, especially the removals and the result of them. I'm not quite sure exactly how large the drawing needs to be, though I'm guessing it doesn't matter so long as it represents the symbol. Thanks, Nudd.
Indeed, a pleasant romp. Out of interest has anyone had an email from the Times about the increase in online subscription. Seems quite a hike for someone like me who only uses it to look at the puzzles. Am I right in saying that there is no longer the option to have a cheaper subscription that just allows access to the Crossword Club?
Straightforward puzzle and an impressive construction.

Thanks, Nudd.
Yes, Cruncher, I received an email saying that my subscription will double. I am on an overseas package and only pay 5£ a month, which I thought was too good to last. It seems a bit much to double the subscription at one go, but I do read the paper so it will still be good value at 10£ a month.

I think you are right in saying that you can no longer subscribe just to the Crossword Club. At least I couldn’t manage to do that when I joined a couple of years ago.
Same here regarding the Times subscription, Nick.
Aha! Can I register from a foreign address I wonder? £26 a month in the UK - or maybe that's a special London weighting

Currently costing me €5 per month in Ireland - I await news of a rise ...

Be careful though about registering from 'a foreign address', if you use the iPad app you need to have an Apple account registered in the same country as your Times subscription in order to download the correct version of the app.

A great feat of composition with clear end game but with too many easy clues.

Thanks, Nudd.
