Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Star Chic, Stuck On One (Or Maybe More Incorrect)

Star Chic Saturday 6th July 2019. Second grid - clue is 14d: Favour (7)....I (think I) have R - S - T - E.....obviously something wrong somewhere. Just need to put myself out of the misery of thinking about it.... the crosswords have been changed so much they are not fit for sending as an entry. Thanks everyone.

Thank you for that, I did put the letters into a frame but I couldn't see the wisdom of that answer. Thanks for your help, I can sleep content now.

You're welcome, sometimes even the right word doesn't feel just right.

Shiv, try doing them in pencil next time and then when you have it complete, it is easier to go over the correct answers on the grid with biro (just and idea )

Thanks for the tip! You know, I hate those 2 crosswords, but I just had a go at them today, and hate how they look unfinished. I don't do a lot of crosswords - I do the Sunday Business Post fairly regularly, but have never ever won a prize on that one. I also regularly do the Sunday Independent one and the Farming Independent, as the clues are almost like quiz questions, and a neighbour gives me the Post Office mag crossword which I also like. But, the Star one on Saturday is an awful lot of effort for just the one prize.
