Paul is being obscure again this week. Having trouble parsing a few of the longer clues, which I'm reasonably certain are correct. But then the nagging doubt is preventing me from going forward ...
Open lock possibly underhand? (15) STRAIGHTFORWARD (I have ...a.g...o.w.r. )
Standard inside edges in Melbourne getting team out, error unfortunately inspiring paceman initially (4,11) BODY TEMPERATURE (I have .o../.e.p...t...)
Encapsulating the ultimate in pomposity, standard rubbish from the right — here, primarily? (9) TELEGRAPH (I have t...g.a.. assuming straightforward is correct).
Also not happy with other parsings, but those three biggies will do for now.

ROOM TEMPERATURE perhaps?
Encapsulating… Torygraph, I think.
For Torygraph…
Grot = rubbish, Par = standard (from the right, so they're reversed)
Y = ultimate (letter) in pomposity, H = here primarily.
Tor y g rap h.
I should have said that the Telegraph is sometimes called the Torygraph, because of its political leanings.
Straight is a poker hand and lock-forward a rugby union position
Your Room Temperature seems to work - the M and E are the outside letters/edges of Melbourne, add anagram of Team+Par, standard, error and the P from paceman ('initially).
Think your l in 9 is incorrect
I thought it might be...

8d. Anagram of (“unfortunately”) [“edges of” Melbourne (1,1) + teamouterror] containing Paceman “initially” (1). The whole = (a comfortable) standard inside
