1) Dispute leaves Democrat going for replacements (5,5) S?A?E ?A??? The answer surely has to be SPARE PARTS, But why? Dispute = SPAR, Leaves = PARTS and Replacements = SPARE PARTS. But where does the E after SPAR come from, and how does Democrat fit in?

2) Soldiers in elaborate displays half exhausted (4) A??? It looks like ANTS, but I can't see it. Similarly with ARMY.

3) One gets drunk when dram's consumed (5) T???? I can only think of TIGHT and TIPSY but can't see why.
