I have Maurya
Morning Dickie, what have you put for 3 down?I ask because I have one wrong and I think that may be it.
Question Author
thanks for that Danny, I have Petite Sirah for 3 down
That's what I have but an alternative is Syrah,
Let me know if you submit successfully.
Question Author
yes I know but the reference I found regarding an American grape variety has it as Sirah from the Syrah grape variety, I'll enter it with a y and see what happens
Dickie, enter the one you are happiest with.
Question Author
I went with the 'y' and got one wrong grrrrr the spellings are both correct!
Dickie, I entered it with an i and I had one wrong but Can't find it.
Unfortunately my contact there is on holiday for a week.
Question Author
kalpis, strijdom, gossypol, molasse were the ones i double checked
Dickie check kalpis again, I have calpis
Question Author
BRB has Kalpis A water jar (gr) does not have calpis
Never mind, this is another case of alternative spellings.
. 2 The forms with which this style is associated are generally the amphora, the calpis, an elegant variety of the water-jar
Have you submitted the Cryptic? Mine was ok.
Question Author
Oh well, we'll have to wait until Monday to check
No need Dickie, they base the crosswords on the BRB, so I now know what I had wrong- calpa.
What is the BRB?
