I got the R from 19D Gee- had heard of such hostilities on earth...but in heaven too H???/WORK (4-4)

so the work is wrong. What pattern of definite letters did you have for that one?

Maybe I misunderstood- I thought the R had come from Work and we needed that r to be an L

I couldn't see how work fitted in with the word play... But wars does

Yes- I always felt the WORK looked wrong

I had 19D: H?L?/W?R?, so I think the answer is HOLY WARS.
