A two letter word with no clue and investigate too many in 26 across! So frustrating

Hi revcindy1 - are you doing the crossword on your tablet? I was doing it on my Ipad via the Telegraph App, and got 14 spaces for 26ac. Couldn't work it out at all, so I asked on AB, and eventually had a look at our paper edition of the DT. It's correct in the paper copy, but wrong on the tablet version. Naughty Daily Telegraph ... ! I think I will get in touch with them and tell them! Chox.

The online version says 4-5-4. Yet there are 14 spaces

Thank you eeryone. Yes chokkie I'm using the iPad version which gives 14 spaces for 26ac and leaves you with a two letter word 'hanging' at the end! I realised it was an anagram.... And fiction-factory - thanks - I think it was predictive text that put in 'investigate'. Not sure what the original word was! So - thanks everyone. Very frustrating!
