Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

IMMESH ? My dictionary doesn't like this spelling, INMESH is better, but doesn't fit into 25 across.

Immesh looks fine, by analogy with immerse. When the prefix in is added to words beginning with b, p or m it mutates to im.

Yes, I think you are right Jack...its shown as an alternative to inmesh, so MOMENTO for 25a must then be OK !

Curiously enough this does not happen when you prefix a word with 'un'. We say 'imbalance' but 'unbalanced'. The joys of the English language!

Jack...and I thought Welsh was the worst for its mutations ! Cymru, Gymru, etc.

You are right. Cymru can be written as Cymru, Gymru. Chymru or Nghymru, depending on what precedes it. There are strict rules, which are not followed by many native Welsh speakers in speech, but usually in writing. Once you master the art of initial consonant mutation Welsh is actually a very easy language to learn, with a very simplified structure.
